Light Up A Life
and remember your loved ones
At The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, we know that Christmas can be a time for togetherness which can be a difficult time if you have lost a loved one, or if you cannot be with someone you love. Our Light up a Life appeal gives you the opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one by dedicating a light or lights on our Christmas tree, in their memory.
Every light that shines out from our Christmas tree is a heartfelt tribute to those who are missed but not forgotten. Seeing it adorned with lights and knowing that each light is dedicated to someone has such a special meaning.
Make a dedication
If you would like to pay tribute to a loved one, you can do this by:
• Dedicating a light that will shine brightly on our Christmas tree in the grounds of the hospice
• Adding their name to the Glasgow Times Light up a Life special, published on or around 2nd December
• Adding their name to our order of service for our carol concert
• Writing a message of remembrance for your loved one on one of our Light Up A Life stars
Please note, in order to include any dedicated names in the carol concert order of service or the Glasgow Times special, please complete your online dedication by 20 November.
How to make your dedication
This year we have 2 online options:
- Make a dedication through our online dedication form
- Make your dedication on our special online Christmas Tree. If you add your dedication to the online tree, you will see it shine brightly on the tree and you also have the option of adding a photograph to your dedication. You can also share your dedication on social media.
Every donation made to our Light up a Life appeal enables the hospice team to provide the vital care that so many people need, around the clock, both in the hospice and out in the community.
We would like to invite you to be a part of our Light Up A Life events.
These events are a chance to come together and remember friends and family who are no longer with us.
