As part of this year’s Hospice Care Week, local people are being invited to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice at Bellahouston Park on Sunday 6 October to find out more about the teams behind the Hospice.
This year’s theme of Hospice Care Week is ‘This is what it takes’. A photography exhibition will be on display to allow members of the public the opportunity to find out more about the diverse teams responsible for providing every aspect of care and support for the Hospice’s patients and families.
Rhona Baillie, Chief Executive of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, said: “We would be delighted to welcome as many people as possible through the doors of the Hospice this Sunday.
“We know not many people will have ever visited a Hospice so we want to open our doors and show that this is a place for the community where amazing work takes place and is a positive and cheerful place.
“While our clinical teams are vital in providing care to our patients, we also have a wide and varied workforce and army of volunteers who all work together to provide the gold standard of care and support for our patients and their families.”
The photography exhibition is open to the public on Sunday 6 October from 11am until 1pm. It will feature photographs of all the teams working behind the scenes in the Hospice – from catering to human resources to fundraising.
