Living well service
The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice has been delivering gold standard specialist palliative care for over 37 years to the people of Glasgow.
We are a compassionate place of care for people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness offering comfort and peace of mind. We treat patients and their families with kindness, respect and dignity. Every year we care for over 1,200 patients and families for whom we must ensure the highest possible quality of care.
5 days a week
We offer the Living Well Hub. This service is open to anyone with a life limiting condition along with their family/carer who are already known to the hospice. The ethos of this service focuses on the powers of well-being including relax, connect with others, take notice, learn and be active.
Working with the wider community
We work with organisations, charities and agencies from our local community to provide a wide range of support and information to our patients and families.
Leading the way
We are developing our services around the use of digital platforms using information services to support mental health and wellbeing. We facilitate an online support group via a closed Facebook page that offers support across the age spectrum. Our aim is to reach and empower groups at risk of exclusion from health and care services.
Attaining goals
Activities, groups and sessions are based around the interests and needs of those accessing this service supporting their learning, confidence and obtaining their goals.
Connecting with you
We provide support to patients and families face to face, via virtual consultations e.g 'Attend Anywhere', by telephone and by the provision of a private Facebook page (Virtual Living Well Hub).
