Vital care appeal

Every day, our teams work tirelessly to provide expert end of life care for patients and support for their families. But right now, we're facing huge financial challenges.

Will you give today and help protect vital hospice care?

Prices have been rising fast over the last few years. The cost of medical care is climbing. The price of food, petrol and energy to power our equipment has rocketed. The hardest part is that more people than ever need our care.

What could your support do?

£30 could pay for a visit from one of our community nurses.

£60 could pay for a Physiotherapy session to help a patient manage their mobility.

£120 could pay for 2 bereavement counselling sessions, supporting a family who has recently lost a loved one.

The hospice has been here for our community for over 40 years. We want to say we always will be. But right now, we need you.

Why help fund vital hospice care

  • Financial strain: our funding is scarce, and we are facing what could be our most challenging year yet.
  • Growing demand: Every year, the demand for our services increases, stretching our resources even further.
  • Funding gap: we receive only a fraction of our operating costs from the NHS, leaving a significant gap we need to fill.

Donate now and make a difference.

By donating today, you'll help us:

  • Ensure that every patient receives the care and support they need during their final days.
  • Bridge the funding gap and keep our doors open for those in need, preventing any interruptions to our essential services.
  • Provide peace of mind to patients and their families, knowing that they have access to high-quality, compassionate care when they need it most.

It’s never been more important to support Glasgow's Hospice.

Jean's Story

Hear from hospice patient 56-year-old Jean McCauley, who is living with the life-limiting illness Multiple Myeloma, a form of bone cancer. Jean says: “When I was referred to the hospice, I really didn’t know what to expect, as my emotions were all over the place. I'm happy to say that the hospice has been a lifeline to me. I attend the Living Well Hub once or twice a week. It's a wonderful place where you meet patients in similar situations to yourself. The hospice helps you to live with a life limiting illness in a much more positive way and I will always be grateful for their support.”

It costs more than £5million to operate the hospice, situated in Bellahouston Park in the south of the city. With only £2million being provided through statutory funding, the hospice must fundraise more than £3million each year in order to continue providing free care to 1200 new patients and their families.
