Make one of your new year’s resolutions to take part in the biggest and most exciting event for all the family this spring. Registration opens on 1 January for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice’s Bubble Rush in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, on 6 May.

The park will be transformed into a sea of frothing foamy fun for 4500 people to tackle the 5k course while blasting entrants with cannons of coloured foam and bubbles along the route.

Hospice supporters of all ages, from tiny tots to grannies and grandpas, will make their way around the course, dressed in tutus, brightly coloured wigs and giant sunglasses. Walk or run, it’s not a timed course, with the emphasis on having fun!

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is organising the event with supporters including fellow members of Scotland’s Hospices Together: CHAS, Accord Hospice, Ayrshire Hospice, Highland Hospice, St Andrew’s Hospice, St Vincent’s Hospice, Ardgowan Hospice, St Columba’s Hospice and Strathcarron Hospice.

This is the third year Glasgow’s Hospice has hosted the event, with 2017’s Bubble Rush the biggest in the whole of the UK with a sellout 4500 people taking part.

There are 500 early bird tickets going on sale at mid-day on 1 January at £16 for adults, £7 for juniors and £42 for a family.

After that the fee is £20 for adults, £10 for juniors and £50 for a family ticket.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is raising £21million to build a state-of-the-art palliative healthcare facility in Bellahouston Park. The total has now reached £20m with work on the building more than 75% complete and patients expected to move in spring.
