Make 2021 the year Glasgow goes Gold
Go Run it…Go Swim it…Go Smash it… Go Gold for Glasgow’s Hospice!
Three sisters from the Shawlands area of Glasgow have put their running shoes on and raised more than £2,000 for Glasgow’s Hospice.
Siblings, Kayleigh Stewart (28), Nicola Stewart (35) and Charlene McLennan (36) decided to set a tremendous target of each running 100km during the month of March to raise money for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice as part of the Go Gold for Glasgow’s Hospice campaign.
They achieved their target and managed to fundraise £2,200 in the process. Kayleigh said: “The hospice took great care of my partner’s mum, Valerie McDonagh. Valerie was an incredible woman who lit up every room she went into.
“We miss and think about her every single day. We wanted to show our appreciation to the hospice and their staff for taking care of Valerie for the last few months of her life.”
Rhona Baillie, chief Executive of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice said: “Congratulations to Kayleigh, Nicola and Charlene on completing their amazing challenge. We are so grateful to them for fundraising for the hospice. As a charity, we rely on our supporters raising money so we can keep on providing gold standard care for the people of Glasgow.”
