Glasgow’s Hospice thanks youngest Regular Giver

St Ninian’s High School pupil Noah Meighan is only 12-years-old but he has generously been giving £2 of his monthly pocket money to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice for the past two years.

Young Noah has also fundraised for the hospice over the years, even taking part in the Toddler Walk in the St Enoch Centre when he was only two.

Noah says: “I was in the hospice a lot when I was younger as my Nana volunteers there. They also looked after my Papa when he wasn’t well and really cared for him.”

A children’s banking app encouraged Noah to think about giving money regularly to charity and decided the hospice was his chosen charity. Since then, The Rev. Ted Baines Charity which encourages young people to fundraise by match funding their donation has more than doubled Noah’s donation, increasing it to £5 a month thanks to their contribution.

Regular giving is so important for the hospice because it provides a reliable income stream each month, allowing us to plan our services for the future with a secure funding source.
